How To Update Java for Chatting
If you have trouble logging into your chat after the update has been
applied, it will be necessary to clear the Java cache and/or update Java
to the latest version. To check that you have the latest version of Java
installed go to:
http://www.java.com, click the 'Free Java Download' link
at the top of the page. You should then be directed to the 'Verify
Installation' page. Click the 'Verify Installation' link to check your
version of Java.

For Mac users, follow these instructions:
Open Finder. Go to Applications. Find the Utilities folder. Find the Java
folder and go to J2SE folder, where you will find Java Preferences. Open
this file. Click The Java Preferences icon to launch the Java Preferences
window. Select Delete Files under the General tab. The Delete Temporary
Files window will open. Make sure all boxes are checked. Select OK.
Please note that the steps for clearing the Java cache if you have the
'Java plugin' will be different from the instructions listed above.
Next clear your browser cache by following these instructions:
http://java.com/en/download/help/5000020400.xml. Be sure to close and
re-open your browser once you have cleared the cache.
